Details

CO₂ laser marking machines mainly utilize CO₂ lasers to generate laser beams.CO₂ lasers emit laser light of a specific

wavelength by exciting CO₂ molecules through gas discharges, which causes them to produce excited radiation.

These laser beams are focused and transmitted by an optical system and then irradiated onto the surface of the workpiece.

The material absorbs the laser energy and the surface temperature rises rapidly, resulting in vaporization, carbonization,

or chemical changes, etc., thus forming a clear mark on the surface of the workpiece.

It has good marking effect on many kinds of non-metallic materials, such as wood, leather, plastic, paper, acrylic,

rubber and so on. This is because these materials have a high absorption rate of CO₂ laser, which can effectively

carry out energy conversion and realize marking.

For some materials with coating or laminating film on the surface, CO₂ laser can also penetrate the coating or

laminating film and mark directly on the underlying material without damaging the coating or laminating

film on the surface.
